About Us
Hellyers Road Distillery is the home of Australia’s Finest Aged Whisky. With a company history beginning in the 1950s in dairying, in 1997, we were one of the founding Australian Distilleries of the modern era of Australian Whisky. Our distillery in the North West Tasmania is Australia’s oldest operating whisky distillery. Our whiskies are internationally recognised for quality over a long period and in 2024 we were the most awarded Australian distillery at the World Whiskies Awards. We are custodians of a history and future based on Passion, Provenance and Patience.
Double Cask Single Malt Whisky
Aged in 200L American Oak ex-Bourbon casks for a minimum of five years, the whisky then sees secondary maturation in French Oak barriques that had Tasmanian Pinot Noir aged in them.
This secondary maturation in French Oak ex-Tasmanian Pinot Noir casks adds beautiful red berry notes and a unique Tasmanian influence to this malt.
