The name Voyager is apt for this special cask release - cask 20F10c05.
Crafted at the Distillery on Tasmania’s North West coast, after 16 years of careful nurturing in first fill American Oak ex-Bourbon casks, the whisky was beautifully matured, with incredible notes of noble woods and butterscotch, yet destined for more.
The whisky was then moved into the most worldly of vessels: a French oak cask that started its life ageing Pinot Noir in Tasmania's south. The cask was then used to macerate Christmas fruit, giving the whisky a decadent richness. The journey did not stop there, with the cask then used to age local fortified Ruby Pinot Noir, before making its way to Hellyers Road.
Head Distiller Fiona Coutts used this well-travelled cask for the final four years of maturation for this stunning 20 Year Old dram. A Voyage indeed.
Showcasing meticulous attention to detail in flavour and cask management, this outstanding single malt whisky epitomises the distillery’s commitment to producing aged expressions of distinction that are unrivalled in quality, intensity and character.

"Fudge, vanilla and caramel sit alongside stewed apples and a fruity, sugary sweetness on the nose. The palate reveals a blend of caramel, custard, toffee apples and pecan pie, with a backdrop of juicy orchard fruits and candies. A solid oak undertone, vanilla pods and dried fruits give a long, rich finish."
