Dark Harmony 5 - Dark FOMO
On 11th June, we released Dark FOMO - the fifth chapter in our Dark Harmony series with Communion Brewing Co. & were overwhelmed by the response.
One of the most anticipated Dark Harmony releases, it captured attention with its striking presentation and festival-inspired aesthetic and sold out in just a matter of hours.
Timed to coincide with Tasmania's gloriously unhinged Dark Mofo festival, it took everything the Dark Harmony series does well and dragged it somewhere a little darker, a little stranger.

This release began its journey in two first fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, filled on 22 February 2018. After initial maturation, the whisky was finished in two American oak ex-bourbon casks seasoned with Communion’s Baltic Porter Beer. The two casks were then married together on 23 April 2026, with marrying cask 1 prepared for bottling to produce this unique 8 year old single malt whisky.
The presentation matched the liquid. From the split lorem ipsum label to the dripping black wax finish and the red cross, every detail was built to sit in a festival that finds its spiritual centre around a long table in the dark, surrounded by the weird and strange.
The launch extended beyond the bottle. At the communion stand at Dark Mofo's Winter Feast, festival-goers experienced something truly special - a boilermaker with the Dark FOMO whisky direct from cask, paired alongside Communion's Baltic Porter Beer. Tasting the whisky in that form, in that setting, surrounded by the energy of Dark Mofo, was exactly the kind of moment this collaboration was made for.
