From our meticulous approach to selecting only the finest peated barley sourced from Inverness, Scotland, Hellyers Road has cemented its reputation as being Australia’s foremost Peated Whisky producer.
This exquisite release marks a triumphant return to our single malt portfolio, bottled at 46.2% ABV and adorned with a prestigious Gold Medal from the esteemed 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Our commitment to excellence shines through in every aspect of this expression, from the selection of first-fill American Oak ex-bourbon casks from Heaven Hill to the infusion of premium peated malted barley sourced directly from Inverness.

Nose - Upon the nose, sweet tea and brine notes tantalize the senses, followed by a delicate balance of sea salt, oyster shell, green leaf, and fresh bark. Subtle whispers of campfire embers intertwine with a hint of medicinal allure in the background.

The peat delivers a light and sweet experience that seems to lift the flavours rather than shroud them in smoke haze. It is different. Helyers Road is differnet. I had to get towards the end of the first bottle to make freinds with it.
Like so many good whiskys, it needs to have some breathing time in the glass or with the neck take out of the bottle. I have been told that too long in the half emptied bottle is not good for whisky. No risk of that for me with this beauty!

We live in the main land and nothing compares to the quality from Hellyers .
This delectable whisky is fast becoming my favourite dram. Subtle hints of smoke adds to the delicious oak vanilla notes. Not like all the others this whisky is more than worth a try, keep a bottle in your bar.
I originally purchased this beauty in a three pack during a visit to the distillery some 10+years ago and was very impressed with it then but haven't found it in my local since.
This latest purchase brought back memories of that trip with my family and characteristics of that original bottle have not altered. What a beauty !!! Nothing similar has been found since.
