A Collector's Masterpiece
Each 21 Club Presentation Case will be handcrafted on the North West Coast of Tasmania by local master craftsman Rob Van Tholen, using Hydrowood Celery Top Pine salvaged from the depths of Tasmania’s West Coast.
The Vision
From the very beginning, the 21 Club has celebrated the provenance of the place we belong to with each release paying tribute to Tasmania’s rich and diverse flora. Every whisky in the series, from Tanglefoot and Blue Gum to Myrtle, draws inspiration from a native tree.
Crafted from Hydrowood Celery Top Pine, the 21 Club Presentation Case brings together the beauty and character of Tasmania’s forests. This remarkable timber has been salvaged from the bottom of the hydro dams on the state’s West Coast, then milled and shaped into an enduring piece of fine furniture. Salvaged logs from these native trees, long celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest joinery timbers, have been used in Tasmanian boatbuilding and fine furniture for generations.
The Key to your 21 Club Presentation Case
The locking mechanisms on the 21 Club Presentation Case are crafted from the timber of the very tree represented on each whisky’s label, a thoughtful detail that connects the collection together in both craftsmanship and design.
True to the character of a Hellyers Road 21 Year Old, the mechanism isn’t entirely straightforward. While each bottle fits neatly into place, there’s a clever trick to releasing it, a secret only the owner will know. After all, we wouldn’t want your friends helping themselves to your 21 Club whiskies when you’re not looking.
Pre-Order & Crafting
The 21 Club Presentation Case is exclusively made to order and available on a pre-order basis. To ensure each case is crafted to perfection, orders are organised into batches, with each batch taking approximately 6-10 weeks to complete.
Once your order is placed, our team will send you a form to confirm which whiskies you would like included in your presentation case. These selections are then used to personalise the keys and locking mechanisms, making your presentation case uniquely yours.
