The third 21 club release - Blue Gum, is matured for 16 years in American Oak ex-bourbon casks, and then for another five years in a Tawny port cask. Bottled at 49% ABV, it is the ultimate celebration of the Tasmanian terroir. 

This whisky opens with delicate, sweet florals on the nose, accompanied by meadow honey and freshly cut hay. Subtle hints of ripe pear and lemon oil further enrich it, while peach and nectarine bring a refreshing sweetness. On the palate, grilled nectarine and pineapple deliver a lively tropical character, complemented by the comforting warmth of date scones and a velvety touch of whipped cream. The flavours deepen with plums and juicy raisins, leading to a remarkable finish that lingers beautifully, showcasing the whisky’s complexity and balance.

Each of our 21 Club releases has featured a Tasmanian endemic rainforest tree, species that are unique, beautiful and brought to life in the drawings of Inti Callaghan on the labels of the 21 Club whiskies.

For this release, we chose Tasmania's floral emblem, the Tasmanian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus), to feature on the label. A true icon, the Blue Gum is renowned for its grandeur and ecological significance, perfectly reflecting the legacy of our 21 Year Old single malt whisky.
