21 Club Release No.05
Native Olive
21 Year Old Rivesaltes Cask
As a valued member of Australia's most exclusive whisky club, the 21 Club, you enjoy unrivalled access to 21 exceptional bottlings of our oldest and rarest whiskies - each a distinctive piece of Australian whisky history.
This month, we are delighted to offer you exclusive access to 21 Club Release No.05 - Native Olive.
The Cask
Native Olive spent its final year of maturation in one of the rarest and most interesting casks ever used for an Australian single malt - a Rivesaltes AOC barrique from Mas Delmas. Rivesaltes is a historic appellation in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, just inland from the Mediterranean coast near the Spanish border.
Made from the rare pink-skinned Grenache Gris in tiny quantities (only 1,000 bottles, and produced only in certain years), Ambré is the name of this sweet wine that can be drunk as an aperitif or a light dessert wine.

Native Olive
Each of our 21 Club releases has featured a Tasmanian endemic rainforest tree, species that are unique, beautiful and brought to life in the drawings of Inti Callaghan on the labels of the 21 Club whiskies.
For this release, we chose the delicate and distinct species, Native Olive (notelaea ligustrina). A smaller plant that survives in low light, it has beautiful pink-purple fruit and clusters of tiny flowers, and is often unnoticed by those who venture into it's native habitat. Native Olive is a true symbol of Tasmania's wilderness, growing only in areas that have not been disturbed.
This treasured release will come with a Certificate of Authenticity, a note from the artist Inti Callaghan and a postcard sized version of Inti's beautiful artwork.
