21 Club Release No.01
Tanglefoot
21 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask
As a valued member of Australia's most exclusive whisky club, the 21 Club, you enjoy unrivalled access to 21 exceptional bottlings of our oldest and rarest whiskies - each a distinctive piece of Australian whisky history.
This very special first release is an outstanding example of aged single malt whisky - showcasing elegance, complexity and flavour while exhibiting distinctive signature character, synonymous with Hellyers Road.
The Whisky
First matured in American oak (ex-Jack Daniel’s Bourbon barrels) for 17 years, this single malt developed elevated notes of nougat and vanilla. With time in the glass, these characters become further enhanced in richness.
Secondary maturation for a further four years in an aged second fill oloroso sherry cask has accentuated this flavour profile by adding subtle but complex berry fruit sweetness and chocolate nuances, typical of premium Spanish sherry cask-matured whiskies.
Remarkable hues of chestnut with a burnished glow, highlighting its age and extended maturation in different cask types.

Tanglefoot
Each of our 21 Club releases has featured a Tasmanian endemic rainforest tree, species that are unique, beautiful and brought to life in the drawings of Inti Callaghan on the labels of the 21 Club whiskies.
For this release, we chose to base this piece on the colourways of tanglefoot beech, depicting it as it changes its hues with the coming of Autumn. Found in Tasmania’s alpine regions, Nothofagus gunnii, also known as tanglefoot beech, is the only native deciduous tree found on the island.
This treasured release will come with a Certificate of Authenticity, a note from the artist Inti Callaghan and a postcard sized version of Inti's beautiful artwork.
