An ambitious and experimental project, our Apple Cider Cask Tasmanian Single Malt was made for Whisky Live 2026.
This whisky started life in two first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks (for about 5 years) and was then finished in an American oak barrel that was used to age Vintage Cider, made from heirloom Kingston Black apples, at Spreyton Cider Co. on Tasmania’s North West Coast.
A project that started with trepidation ended with fabulous results as the vanilla, jersey caramel and pear notes from the original single malt met the apple and spice from the cider cask in a delicious whisky.
