About the Maker
Based on Tasmania’s North West Coast, Rob Van Tholen is a master craftsman with over 14 years of experience creating exquisite woodwork. Passionate about timber and the art of working with wood, Rob honed his skills under the guidance of his father, a skilled joiner. Deeply inspired by the natural beauty of Tasmania’s North West coast, he brings a blend of heritage, skill and local pride to every piece he creates.
He also handcrafts the presentation boxes for Hellyers Road’s aged and rare single malt whiskies, renowned for our intricate hidden locking mechanisms and fine Tasmanian timbers.
