Hellyers Road 21 Year Old Peated Cask Finish 20F05c01 is an exceptional expression of Australian whisky. It is matured for 17 years in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a secondary maturation for 4 years in our own freshly tipped 2004 richly peated cask, allowing the whisky to develop a remarkable depth of flavour.

Each bottle is housed in a unique presentation box hand-crafted by local master wood worker Rob van Tholen from prized Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras and Myrtle woods.

Nose

A blend of macadamia and golden syrup, enveloped in a gentle, sweet smoke. Peach and fresh almond notes lead to dark honeycomb crumble, orange blossom, and toasted coconut, evoking memories of coastal evenings.

Palate

Sea salt caramel coats the tongue with a waxy, mineral mouthfeel. Flavours of charred nectarines, apricots, and smoked vanilla pods unfold, as waves of clean, warm smoke carry subtle notes of coastal flora, such as kunzea, blue gum, and lavender.

Finish

The finish is long and luxurious, with dark chocolate and leather notes lingering, as the smoke endures well after the final sip.
