Dark FOMO is the fifth release in our Dark Harmony series and arguably the one that leans hardest into its muse.

Timed to coincide with Tasmania's gloriously unhinged Dark Mofo festival, it takes everything the series does well and drags it somewhere a little darker, a little stranger.

Dark Harmony has always explored that space where opposites collide. Dark FOMO is our love letter to the tension, and this year it has a seat at the feast.

This release began its journey in two first fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, filled on 22 February 2018. After initial maturation, the whisky was finished in two American oak ex-bourbon casks seasoned with Communion’s Baltic Porter Beer. The two casks were then married together on 23 April 2026, with marrying cask 1 prepared for bottling to produce this unique 8 year old single malt whisky.

TASTING NOTES

Nose

Deep notes of chocolate and coffee are lifted by fizzy lemonade and raspberry jam croissant. Time in the glass rewards, revealing a subtle earthiness adding layers of complexity.

Palate

Robust intensity across the palate with toasted oak, dark chocolate and roasted malts. A whisper of smoke adds depth, alongside coffee-caramel confectionery notes.

Finish

A lingering complexity invites further exploration.

One of the most anticipated Dark Harmony releases yet, Dark FOMO has already captured attention with its striking presentation and festival-inspired aesthetic.

From the split lorem ipsum label and the dripping black wax finish, to the red cross, every detail has been built to sit in a festival that finds its spiritual centre around a long table in the dark, surrounded by the weird and strange.

With only a limited number of bottles, it won't take long to disappear. Miss this one and the FOMO will be real.
